In Chennai, the Seervi community inaugurated the auspicious start of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha with a grand Kalash Yatra in the Aaimata Bader precinct of Anakaputhur. Women carried pots on their heads and marched through the main streets of the area in a Kalash Yatra. During the Kalash Yatra, women chanted praises to Radharani, and throughout the procession, people welcomed the procession with showers of flowers.
The Katha Vachak (narrator) Saint Devrishi Maharaj performed the worship and rituals of the Shrimad Bhagwat and established the Kalash Yatra after the worship.
Saint Devrishi, while emphasizing the importance of listening to the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, explained that by hearing the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, not only are the sins of one’s current life destroyed, but also the good deeds rise. A large number of women and men from the Seervi community were present to listen to the Katha.”
