Why Kamal Haasan hate Sholay Film?

While conversing, Kamal Haasan said, “For those who remember Sholay film, let me tell you that I was an assistant director in that film. When I watched Sholay film, I couldn’t sleep that night. I hated the movie so much. Not only that, I had even more hatred for the film’s director, Ramesh Sippy. I told him as well that when I saw the film, this was my reaction. I couldn’t sleep that night; it was that kind of film. Amit Ji has done many such films. Hearing him speak well about my films is something I couldn’t have imagined. Finally, I got the opportunity to work with him, whose film I assisted in.”
